Each Barometer is co-written with the help of contributors and partners, the latter also being members of the steering committees affiliated with the various Barometers. Alongside Convergences, their mission is to ensure that the progress of the publications is properly monitored by validating the strategic choices and defining the key themes of each edition. They also recommend contributors recognized for their expertise in the fields concerned.
As reference publications, the Barometers allow Convergences to position itself within its ecosystem. The topics covered in the Barometers are taken up in the association’s other activities, notably in the Working Groups and the 3Zero Global Forum.
The Sustainable Solutions Barometer (BSD) aims to mobilize all stakeholders in favor of the Sustainable Development Goals and to highlight concrete solutions for a more equitable and sustainable world. Carried out in partnership with Crédit Coopératif, Orange and Veolia, the Barometer aims to note each year the efforts made throughout the world to achieve a world of Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon and Zero Poverty. The 2022 edition is only available in French.
The Social Entrepreneurship Barometer (BES) introduces the key issues and trends in the social entrepreneurship sector in France and internationally and promotes best practices in the sector. It is aimed at the entire social entrepreneurship ecosystem – entrepreneurs, funders, catalysts and public authorities – and also targets professionals in related sectors, such as students and the media.
The Impact Finance Barometer (BFI) presents key figures and trends in impact investing and financial inclusion around the world. While impact investing continues to grow, the Covid-19 pandemic has widened the funding gap for the Sustainable Development Goals in developing countries. Today, the need for funding remains as critical as ever.
Our other publications
The 100 concrete solutions for tomorrow’s world are based on six key SDGs highlighted by the 12th edition of the Convergences World Forum (“Education”, “Growth”, “Inequality”, “Climate”, “Peace”, “Partnerships”) and the initiatives presented during the event, all of which invent possibilities for mutual aid, solidarity and collaboration; They are ultimately technical and societal innovations that, when assembled, represent a model of planned transition that brings to light the wealth, not of what is counted, but of what counts.
The “Social business and the CAC 40” survey aims to present to a wide audience the diversity of initiatives and projects with a strong social and environmental impact in France and around the world. Large companies now play a role in the reduction of poverty, precariousness and exclusion, but what are the means of action that they concretely implement? Convergences is part of a process to promote the strategies and initiatives with a strong societal impact of large French groups, in order to encourage other actors to commit themselves to this path.
The Microfinance Barometer (MBS) tracks key industry trends at the international level while giving visibility to microfinance initiatives with high social impact and promoting best practices in the sector. This publication has become a reference tool for microfinance professionals, appearing each year since 2010 in the top 10 most consulted publications on the FindevGatewayet portal. After 10 years of publication, it will be replaced by the Impact Finance Barometer in 2021.
