Since 2011, Convergences organize an annual Media Evening within the Convergences World Forum. The Media Evening is one of the highlights of the Forum, and gathered over 800 participants in 2015 to discuss the role of the media as an agent for change and demonstrate how it can be a source of inspiration for its audiences to take positive action.
This year, the Media Evening organised with Sparknews and has been dedicated to impact journalism.
- 20 chief editors from all over the world shared their experience of impact journalism with the audience
- They participated in a SparkShow, a competition created by Sparknews to award the best innovative project dedicated to fighting climate change. 5 project leaders pitched their project on front of a Jury composed of chief editors, who buzzed the best and most innovative project. The winner has been awarded with articles in national and international newspapers.
- The Media Evening concluded with a cocktail reception followed by a dancing party in the Palais Brongniart.
