The development of Typha australis, invasive aquatic plant, create new rural economic activities, by the transformlation of the typha in coal. This process empowers women within the village and relieve the ecosysteme. The project has developed locally, at the Superior Technological Institut of Roso, carbonisation solutions adapted to the socio-technical mauritanian context.
Novo Ciclo
Novo Ciclo aims to support waste management and improve work and life conditions of waste pickers in Brazil, the project provides training sessions, technical and infrastructure support to waste pickers. The main goal is to develop an innovative recycling business model based on cooperative organisation, fostering social mobilisation.
